       Dr. S. R. Rangnathan a great library scientist had once said that “ Library is a growing organization”. Hence to develop our institutional library, we continuously follow his words, with valuable inspiration from our honorable Chairman Dr. J. J. Magdum & Exe. Director Shri Vijayraj Magdum & under the guidance of our respected Principal Dr.(smt.) R. S. PAtil.The college library is having the collection of 19000 Books, around 814 bound volumes of technical/Non-technical Journals and around 610 CDs. (Technical/Non technical). We subscribe 97 technical (foreign & Indian) journals and magazines. About 225 sets of books are issued to the students under book bank scheme per semester, this also includes the social welfare book bank scheme for category students. We are going to provide Open Public’s Access Catalogues (OPAC) facility to all readers & also going to provide open access facility to all members very shortly. In addition to central library each department maintain their individual departmental library with adequate resources for read reference for the staff & students.

The student members of the library committee helps in following ways

1)   Co-operating library staff in smooth library functioning.

2)   Collecting suggestions and complaints from students and representing the students view in the committee meetings.

1)  Open access system to all users in home issue section.

2)  Students are requested to collect their borrow card immediately after getting the I-card & finalizing the roll No. from the office.

3)  Student should submit their borrow card at the counter to get books issued to them.

4)  Borrow cards are strictly “not transferable”.

5)  If in case any reader submits the card of other reader to avail the library facility. All library facilities to him & original card holder will be suspended as per library rules immediately for maximum period of 10 days.

5)  Students may retain books for a period not exceeding 10 days.

6)  Books may be renewed on request, if not required by other reader, or on special permission of the librarian.

7)  Failure to return a book in time shall render the borrower fine of Rs. 2.00/- per volume per day from the date when the book was due, for return.

 8)  Dog-eating the pages of a book, marking or witting therein with ink or pencil, tearing or taking out its pages or otherwise damaging it will constitute an injury to a book. Any such injury to a book is a serious offence. Unless the borrower points out the injury at the time of borrowing the book, he shall be required to replace the book or pay its price.

9)  “No Dues” certificate will not be granted to student/staff unless borrow cards are surrendered to the library at the end of the year or when leaving the college.

10)  Students should enter their name & put their signature on the gate register.

11)  Help to keep the book fresh and clean.

 Book bank scheme

1)  Student should apply for book bank & collect the books as per the timetable declaredby the librarian.

2)  Applicants must produce his/her I-card & borrow card to receive application form   from the library.

3)  Four books will be issued per a semester.

4)  Books will be issued from the Book Bank scheme only (not from reference section).

5)  Such books should be returned within two days after theory paper is over or

otherwise a fine of Rs.5.00 per day will be charged.

6)  For the misplace or damage of books the student availing benefit will be held responsible & in such case, the full cost of the new book will be recovered from     him/her to replace the book.

Reference Section

1)  This section allows total open access to all the students.

2)  Students should observe silence in this section.

3)  Do not write any thing on books, issues on journals & bound volumes. Use them carefully since we cannot replace them easily.

Issue of Borrow Card

1)  In case a students lost his/her original borrower card, should inform the librarian. 

2)  Duplicate borrower card will be issued by the librarian on payment of compensation charges.
